Connector Layout
1: Right Imager
The tracking camera used for the “CamBar Right” view
2: IR Projector
Not currently implemented
3: RGB Sensor
Not currently implemented
4: Left Imager
The tracking camera used for the “CamBar Left” view
5: IR Emitters
10 IR LED’s used for emitting IR light into the environment. LED’s operate in the 850nm wavelength.
6: Status LED
On the rear of the CamBar a small LED displays the status of the CamBar:
- Blue full on: CamBar operating in 60fps mode
- Blue flashing: CamBar operating in 50fps mode
- Green flashing: CamBar is being controlled by an external Genlock signal (via the sync in)
- Green full on: CamBar in genlock mode but no genlock signal detected
- Unlit: CamBar is disconnected or defective
7: CamBar Sync
Optional input of genlock to the CamBar
8: CamBar Data
Provides power and sends and receives all data from the CamBar cameras
9: CamBar Control
Provides control of all sync functions and IR LED’s on the CamBar
1: Status LED
This LED provides some basic status information for the Link
- Blinking Green: Link operating correctly
- Blinking Green and Amber: Network speed between Link and Origin limited to 100Mb, this is too slow for correct operation and should be investigated
- Blinking Amber: No network connectivity between Link and Origin
- Solid Amber: Link software initialising
- Solid Red: Link software unable to start
2: Sync In
A BNC socket for optional genlock signal input to the CamBar. The Sync In connector accepts both blackburst and Tri-level signals up to 60fps
3: Antenna
Screw in Wifi Antenna to allow for accessing the Link wirelessly. Wifi Connectivity is not currently implemented and planned in a future Scenario update
4: Origin Ethernet
A Neutrik Ethercon connector compatible with locking Neutrik ethernet cables. The Neutrik Ethercon adaptor is also compatible with standard RJ45 ethernet cables. This interface is used to transmit all the CamBar data to the Origin.
WIFI cannot be used for transferring data from Link to Origin – this connection must always be wired.
5: Power
DC power input. The Link supports a voltage input of between 8-30V and requires a maximum of 24W under maximum load. When powering the Link from a camera body, ensure that the camera power output selected can provide the required power.
6: Encoders
LEMO 7 pin. The Encoders connector is used to connect all CinCraft Scenario Encoder cables from compatible lenses and lens control systems.
Never connect a NON CinCraft Scenario cable to the encoder's connector
7: CamBar Control
LEMO 7 pin. The CamBar Control connects to the CamBar loom, it provides power to the IR lights on the CamBar as well as control for the synchronisation features
8: CamBar Data
USB C. Carries all power and data for the CamBar sensors
9: CamBar Sync
BNC socket that connects to the CamBar loom, if a genlock signal is connected to the “Sync In” then this will be passed through to this BNC socket
10: Power Indicator
A blue LED will activate when the link is powered
1: Antenna
Screw in Wi-Fi Antenna to allow for connecting the Origin to an existing WIFI network.
2: Link Ethernet
RJ45 ethernet. This connector is used exclusively for connecting wired ethernet cable to the Link. This network interface is configured as a DHCP server
3: LAN Ethernet
RJ45 ethernet. The LAN port can be used to connect the Origin to a router or existing wired ethernet network. The interface is configured as a DHCP client and can be configured via the Network settings panel in the CinCraft Scenario software
4 + 5: USB
USB A Gen 3.2. The USB ports can be used for connecting peripherals such as a mouse or keyboard when setting up the system. Additionally, when backing up Wrangler recorded data, a USB device can be connected here to allow the backing up of data to USB removeable storage.
6: DisplayPort
DP 1.2. For connecting the Origin to a monitor using a DisplayPort cable (not supplied)
7: HDMI
HDMI 2.0. For connecting the Origin to a monitor using a HDMI cable (not supplied)
8: Power In
DC power input. The Origin supports a voltage input of 8-30V and requires 30W under typical load. When powering the Origin from a camera body, ensure that the camera power output selected can provide the required power.
9: Power Button
Powers on or off the Origin
10: Antenna
Screw in Wifi Antenna to allow for connecting the Origin to an existing WIFI network.
11: Video Out
BNC Socket, provides an optional “loop through” of the “Video In” input signal
12: Video In
BNC Socket, supports 3G-SDI signals up to 1080p60. It is mandatory for a compatible video signal from the camera to be connected to the Origin for proper operation.
13: Encoders
LEMO 7 pin. The Encoders connector is used to connect all CinCraft Scenario Encoder cables from compatible lenses and lens control systems.
14: CamBar Control
LEMO 7 pin. The CamBar Control connects to the CamBar loom, it provides power to the IR lights on the CamBar as well as control for the synchronisation features
15: CamBar Data
USB C. Carries all power and data for the CamBar sensors
