CinCraft Scenario can be easily updated via the “Software Update” tab of the settings panel. 

To see if a Scenario update is available, ensure you have an active connection to the internet and navigate to the software update panel and select the “<font color="#0f2db3">**Search for updates**</font>” button.

Available updates will be displayed, simply select “<font color="#0f2db3">**Update**</font>” to install the software to the Origin and Link if available.&#x20;

Updates may take several minutes to complete, and it is recommended to ensure that a stable internet connection is available before starting any update

# How to Update

Before starting an update, if your system includes a Link, ensure that this is connected correctly to the Origin.
:::

Do not power off or disconnect the Origin and Link until the software update is complete

If a Link is connected to an Origin that is running a newer version of the Scenario software, then the Link will forcibly update to the latest version.  This will take several minutes to complete and will indicated to the user via a notification in the UI.

During this period it is likely for the Link and CamBar connectivity to be intermittent until the update is complete

## Link Update Issues

In Scenerio 2.3.10 a feature was introduced to help resolve issues where the Link device would fail to update software version correctly.  This situation would result in a version mismatch between the Origin and Link.

Please allow up to 10 minutes following a Scenario update <font color="#2166ae">**BEFORE**</font> trying to force a Link update

If following a Scenario update, the Link fails to reconnect, an update can be forced by:

- Holding <font color="#2166ae">**SHIFT**</font> and clicking the CamBar icon in the status menu
- Then selecting the "<font color="#2166ae">**Force An Update Of Link**</font>" option from the hamburger menu
