Operation

Wrangler

CinCraft Scenario can record tracking data using the “Wrangler” functionality that is built into Scenario.

Wrangler requires an active Wrangler licence to be enabled for the recording function to be available.

To allow users to test Wrangler, it is possible to utilise it when in “Reduced Mode”. However, the tracking data will be corrupted intermittently at random intervals to prevent it from being used in a production environment

The recording of data is available from two locations in the user interface.

Recording Tracking Data

Pressing “Start Recording” from either of the two interfaces will trigger a recording.

A recording will run until the button is pressed again

A user can enter comments and other slate metadata into the respective fields in the interface. Changes can be made to the fields during a recording and are only saved when the recording is ended.

All completed and in progress recordings will be displayed in the Wrangler tab.

The recorded clips will show data recorded form ALL projects, not just the currently open project

Backing Up Tracking Data

To backup or copy recorded tracking data to an external device, a “Backup” button is available from the Wrangler tab.

Simply insert a USB drive into the Origin and then select the drive from the pop up menu

Pressing “start backup” will begin to copy all files from the Origin on to the USB device. The UI will display a “Backup Complete” notification when finished.

Do not remove the USB until the backup is finished.

Once the recorded data has been copied, the user can optionally clear the recordings stored on the Origin by pressing the “Cleanup all clips” button

This will erase all recorded tracking data stored on the Origin. Ensure that a backup has been made prior to erasing the clips
