Equipment Requirements
CinCraft Scenario supports all major cinema and broadcast cameras, but the following requirements are needed:
- The Origin requires an HD signal (up to 1080p60). Higher resolution camera signals are not supported and must be down converted before being connected to the Origin
- Timecode is not required for tracking but is required for the recording of tracking data.
- Image stabilisation (camera or lens) is not supported and should be disabled for accurate tracking
- Cameras that provide an SDI signal are strongly recommended. HDMI outputs are not inherently supported but can be used if converted to SDI using a third-party converter (not provided)
The following lenses are included with the Scenario software, these are either offered as Virtual Lens Packages (V.L.P.) Which require no calibration, or as templates or manually calibrated lenses which will require user input to achieve good results
Templates are provided free of charge and are manually calibrated lens files, they are not as accurate as VLP lenses and require the user to “refine” the lens file when it is added to a project
Any 3rd party spherical lens is supported in Scenario via manual calibration.
Please refer to the Manual Lens Calibration section for instructions on how to calibrate lenses
Lenses with cine gearing and physical end stops on the focus/zoom barrels are strongly recommended for manual calibration
