Projects
A project is a way of managing all the equipment, settings and camera tracking data that is related to a production or usage of the CinCraft Scenario system.
They allow for a simple way to move between different configurations and can be easily backed up and applied to other CinCraft Scenario systems to speed up setup time when working with multiple systems.
To create a project, simply select the “Create New Project” button from the project menu
The following pop up will ask you to:
- Give the project a name - This is simply used as a way to identify the project at a later date
- A start and end date - This allows the system to check and display a warning if the intended usage is outside of any active licenses. The end date is optional and in the case that one is not defined, the system will only warn of a license expiring within 1 week of the expiration date
After creating a project, it will appear in the list of projects. Simply select it to open the project and continue
Exporting a project allows you to easily back up and store a project. This can be used to ensure no work is lost in the event of a catastrophic failure of the CinCraft hardware, alternatively it is a convenient way to move a project to another CinCraft Scenario system.
When exporting a project, Wrangler recorded data is NOT backed up, this data can be backed up independently via the Wrangler tab
System configuration such as network settings and Wi-Fi passwords etc are NOT part of a project backup
To export a project simply select the “export” option from the relevant project menu. This will download the project via your browser and will create a “.ncp” file named after your project on the local file system.
Note that Export is only available when connecting to CinCraft Origin from a remote device
To import a project, simply press the “import” button on the project menu and select the “.ncp” file from the file browser.
Projects can be deleted on the project selection page.
Simply close the existing project to display the selection page
Deleting a project will delete all the equipment and tracking configs contained within. It is not possible to recover a deleted project so ensure that it has been exported prior to deletion
