arri cameras pre requisite arri camera with an lds or /i enabled lens, referred to as a “smart” lens or arri camera with an lbus compatible lens control system (such as cforce or clm 4) in this configuration, when using a smart lens, the lens information is passed directly to the camera body, the arri camera will then embed this data onto the sdi output from the camera where it can be detected automatically by the origin if the lens is a non smart lens (it does not communicate with the camera body), then the lens must be mapped on a lbus compatible lens control system and the lens profile must be selected on the camera body when using this configuration ensure that the lens information is correctly displayed on the camera body before proceeding to use the lens with cincraft scenario please visit camera specific documentation for information on lens mapping troubleshooting no lens data detected when using a smart lens ensure that the lens is correctly mounted on the camera and that the electronic pins between the lens and camera body are aligned correctly ensure that the lds mount is enabled on the camera body, see camera specific documentation for details on how to enable this no lens data detected when using a non smart lens make sure that the lens has been mapped and added to the camera body as an “lda” lens ensure that the lens control system has been correctly setup and the motors calibrated lens data detected on the camera body but no data received in cincraft scenario it is possible for the lds metadata to be stripped out of the sdi signal by certain devices if the sdi signal is being passed through other devices such as monitor loop throughs or splitters, try removing these devices from the image chain before the signal is received by the origin sony cameras pre requisite sony camera with sdi output (tested on venice, venice 2, fx6, fx9, burano) “smart” lens that communicates fiz information with the camera body in this configuration, when using a smart lens, the lens information is passed directly to the camera body, the sony camera will then embed this data onto the sdi output from the camera where it can be detected automatically by the origin known limitations sdi metadata is not available on the sony burano when using the x ocn(lt) codec sdi metadata is not available on the sony fx6, fx9 when using the raw codec troubleshooting lens data detected on the camera body but no data received in cincraft scenario lens metadata may not be available on all sdi outputs from the camera body the “monitor output” on the venice does not provide metadata for instance it is possible for metadata to be stripped out of the sdi signal by certain devices if the sdi signal is being passed through other devices such as monitor loop throughs or splitters, try removing these devices from the image chain before the signal is received by the origin
