Accessing The User Interface
Accessing the UI directly via a monitor is only recommended during the first-time setup of the system, or when conducting equipment prep.
When connecting this way initially, it is recommended to configure the network settings to allow for a remote connection at a later time. Network configuration is covered in the “Settings” section.
To connect locally to the user interface, simply:
- Connect an HDMI or DP monitor to the respective port on the Origin
- Connect a USB keyboard and mouse to the respective ports on the Origin
- Following making the above connections, power on the Origin
The Origin may not display an image on the monitor if it was powered on BEFORE the monitor was connected. If this is the case, simply restart the Origin by long pressing the Power button on the Origin
When using CinCraft Scenario operationally, we strongly recommend that you always access the Scenario UI from a remote computer or tablet.
First ensure that the device you wish to use can run the Scenario user interface.
- Scenario is tested on the Chrome browser and while other browsers will work, these have not been tested.
- It is not recommended to use a mobile phone as the remote device, while it is possible to use one, the UI is not designed to work on a small screen
The following steps describe how to connect remotely to the UI:
Connect an ethernet cable from the LAN port of the Origin to your router.
On the Scenario UI, observe the IP address that the system is allocated. It may be necessary to connect a monitor directly to the Origin for this step.
On your Remote device, make sure you are connected to the same network.
In a Chrome browser, enter the IP address that was reported in the Scenario software, in this example 192.168.1.217 And press “Enter"
If using a direct wired ethernet connection (No router) between the Origin and remote device then it may be necessary to configure a static IP for both devices. A static IP can be configured on the Network tab of the settings panel of CinCraft Scenario UI.
